The beginning of the year is a time of the year when many parents worry about school and university fees. It was heart – warming to receive messages and emails from some of the parents that we have opened invest accounts for school and university fees for their children and below is the shortened version of one of the emails.
I attended one of your seminars in 2008 and you advised that I open a Fundisa investment account for my son who was only 8 years old at the time. I started with just R200 and I was increasing the monthly contribution every year as you advised. He finished his matric last year and I have just registered him at university for his first year. My investment grew to over R75 000 since I opened the account. Thank you again for your advice.
I asked for the investment statement so I could see for myself and the key information from the statement is as follows;
- She opened the investment in May 2009
- The contributions total R50 207 and
- The investment growth is R25 110
- Total investment R75 317
