I had an amazing opportunity to advise members of the Wealth Builder Stokvel. They bought copies of my book From Debt to Riches for each member of the stokvel. They are young, professional women with a common purpose of creating wealth for themselves and their families.

I was excited because often people of their age are saddled with high levels of debt. It was refreshing to engage with these young professionals who are serious about creating wealth and will not allow debt and consumerism to get in the way of their goals. They are eager to share knowledge & grow and I have recently set up an Tax-Free Investment account for them.

They describe their stokvel as follows; Our organisation, strictly for women, is one that is working towards financial emancipation through acquiring shares, property, land and franchises. 

I wish to see more stokvels being formed in the future so we change the narrative of Young, Black, Educated, Employed & Heavily Indebted to Young, Black, Educated, Bad –Debt Free & On-the-way-to-Financial Success. To enable them to reach their goals quicker, it is important that they grow from the 5 members to at least 30 members. Please see their invitation below. 

We are 5 professional ladies who have formed the Wealth Builder Stokvel and we are looking for like-minded ladies to join us.

To qualify, you need to meet the following criteria:

•  Be employed
• A graduate / professional between 24 and 39  years of age
• Willing to invest a minimum of R1 500 monthly into the stokvel investment account for at least 3 years
• Have access to the Internet & Skype
• Confident with on-line meetings
• Must NOT be heavily indebted / under debt review
• Passionate about self –  development
